2007/2008 Changes in the Student Dress Code

WHAT IS ALLOWED WHAT IS NOT ALLOWED

1. Backless shoes for middle and high school students (new).

2. Clothing that is unhemmed (new).

1. Backless shoes for elementary students (old.)  We strongly suggest that parents purchase closed shoes, such as sneakers, though they are not required.  Safety is always a concern, especially with elementary schools students and even middle school students.

2. Suggestive, revealing, or indecent clothing. These terms refer to exposure of body parts and/or pictures or words with a sexual connotation (old).

3. No article of clothing that may cause bodily injury, such as belts, bracelets, wallets, chains with spikes or heavy link chains (old).
